YANCHENG is located in the northern Jiangsu plain,on the shore of Yellow Sea. Yancheng Municipality,under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province,administers 6 counties,2 cities and 1 district. YANCHENG Economic Development Zone (YCEDZ) was established in August,1992. It is a provincial development zone approved by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government in October,1993 and was approved to be a provincial new and hi-tech industrial park in March,1996.
