On June 18, CCPIT Jiangsu, the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, the Department of Economy, Innovation, Employment, and Heritage of Canton of Vaud (DEIEP), and the Swiss Centres jointly held the Jiangsu Province-Vaud Canton Economic and Trade Exchange Conference in Nanjing. Fang Wei, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, Isabelle Moret, the head of DEIEP, and Jürg Burri, the Ambassador of Switzerland to China, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
In collaboration with the Jiangsu Global Souring Promotion Center, the Jiangsu Chamber of International Commerce organized over 80 enterprises, including Sumec, Trina Solar, and Made-in-China.com, to engage in in-depth matchmaking and negotiations with 18 Swiss enterprises, with a focus on industries and fields such as new energy, precision manufacturing, biomedicine, green low-carbon, energy conservation, environmental protection, and life and health. Over 200 participants, including representatives from the Vaud government and business delegations, relevant department heads from the province, and business representatives, attended the event. Chairman Wang Shanhua and Vice Chairman Cong Sufeng also took part in the meeting.
