On August 26, our council, together with the China Association for Promoting UN Procurement and the Suzhou Municipal People's Government, hosted the 2023 China (Jiangsu) International Procurement and Investment Conference in Suzhou.

Fang Aiqing, Deputy Director of the Economic Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee and former vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Huang Lan, Deputy Secretary General of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, and Tang Xiaodong, deputy mayor of Suzhou, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Huang Qifan, former mayor of Chongqing and other guests gave keynote speeches. Chairman Yin Jianqing and Vice Chairman Cong Sufeng of our council attended the opening ceremony and the related events.

One hundred and five international buyers from twenty countries and regions conducted 284 online one-to-one matchmaking sessions with 409 Jiangsu companies in nearly three months. During the meeting, nearly 100 international buyers from over 30 countries and regions came to Suzhou to negotiate face-to-face with 205 Jiangsu companies. There were 157 on-site transactions.
