On the morning of February 17th, Chairman Yin Jianqing and Vice Chairman Cong Sufeng of our council met with Mr Alexandre Cerat, the Deputy Consul General of Canada in Shanghai and his entourage.

Yin Jianqing reviewed the friendly history between China and Canada, introduced the economic and trade investment cooperation between Jiangsu and Canada, the economic and social development of Jiangsu Province, the focused work of our council this year, and the long-term friendly cooperation between our organization and the Canada China Business Council and other Canadian economic and trade organizations. He suggested strengthening communication and exchanges, actively organizing enterprises from both sides to participate in key economic and trade activities, promoting mutual visits between economic and trade enterprises, deepening practical cooperation through twin city activities, implementing cooperation agreements and maintaining regular communication and cooperation.

Alexandre Cerat expressed that Jiangsu has obvious advantages in economic and social development, with a strong industrial foundation. The Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai attaches great importance to the economic and trade cooperation relationship with Jiangsu. He hopes to strengthen communication and establish a long-term cooperative relationship with our council, focusing on specific industries such as food, consumer goods, clean energy, green buildings, etc., to promote cooperation between enterprises, expand trade and technical exchanges, and further promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Canada and Jiangsu.
