On July 6th, the Symposium of CCPIT Eastern China and Symposium for Foreign-invested Enterprises were held in Hangzhou. Chairman Yin Jianqing attended the symposium and made a speech.

Yin Jianqing introduced foreign trade and foreign investment in Jiangsu Province and said that Jiangsu attached great importance to serving foreign-funded enterprises. The government leaders of Jiangsu have held several government-enterprise communication meetings for foreign-funded enterprises to listen to opinions and suggestions, coordinate and solve the difficulties and problems encountered by enterprises, boost the confidence of foreign investors to invest and develop in Jiangsu, and promote the high-quality development of foreign capital. Our council has actively served foreign-funded enterprises. We contacted nearly 50 key overseas institutions and multinational companies and collected and sorted out a number of opinions and suggestions on environmental protection, logistics, personnel exchanges and project construction. Through reporting to CCPIT and relevant provincial departments, we have effectively promoted the resolution of the demands of many foreign-funded enterprises and strengthened the confidence of foreign-funded enterprises to invest in Jiangsu province.

Zhang Shenfeng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT said that foreign-invested enterprises have played an important role in China's reform and opening-up. The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the utilization of foreign investment. It is a major task entrusted by the CPC and the state to set up task forces to serve foreign-invested enterprises in the CCPIT and its sub-councils to promptly collect and relay their demands. It is also an important starting point for trade promotion practitioners to serve foreign-invested enterprises and help stabilize foreign trade and investment. Eastern China is one of the regions experiencing the most vibrant economic development and the top destination for foreign direct investment. Bringing into being task forces in CCPIT Eastern China is a timely measure and initial results have been achieved with swift actions. The next step for the CCPIT is to further enhance its political stance, take the initiative to shoulder responsibilities, and strive to become a model and pacesetter in attracting, securing, stabilizing and enriching businesses. Also, it is important to resolve difficulties and problems faced by foreign enterprises and boost their confidence in developing in China.
