On May 18, President Xi Jinping delivered a video address at the Conference of the 70th Anniversary of CCPIT and Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit. Vice Premier Hu Chunhua, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, attended the conference and the summit. At the summit, Chairman Ren Hongbin of the CCPIT, on behalf of the participating business communities, released the Beijing Initiative of the Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit. Our province attended the conference and the summit online. Fei Gaoyun, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Jiangsu and Huang Lan, Deputy Secretary-General of Jiangsu attend the meeting in Jiangsu.

A number of foreign dignitaries, heads of international organizations and business associations and leaders of the business communities made keynote speeches. The attending foreign dignitaries and heads of international organizations congratulated the CCPIT on its 70th anniversary. They believed that the CCPIT haD made positive contributions to the recovery of the world economy, and hoped to deepen cooperation with China to promote sustainable development in the post-epidemic era.

Representatives of CCPIT Jiangsu, Jiangsu Chamber of International Commerce and CCPIT  Nanjing attended the meeting at the Jiangsu venue. The CCPIT branches in each city set up offline venues to take part in the conference.

On May 19th, our council attended the supporting forums held by CCPIT and learned President Xi’s speech so that our council would continue to break new ground with its tradition of excellence, strengthen its service network for businesses, expand its international circle of friends, and score still greater achievements in contributing to high-quality development and a new development paradigm in China and to an open world economy.
