On the afternoon of April 28, the 2022 China-Israel Matchmaking Forum on Sci-Tech Cooperation was successfully held. The event was jointly organized by the Provincial Department of Commerce, Jiangsu Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu and the China Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CICP) . Cong Sufeng, vice chairman of our council, deputy mayor of Changzhou, and Niv Hanan, Economic Consul of the Israeli Consulate in Shanghai addressed the event online. Also present at the event were personnel from the CICP Administration Office, JCIITRI, and staff from relevant departments of the municipal and district governments. As the forum was live-streamed, it was watched over 160,000 times.
According to Cong Sufeng, innovation has been the engine driving the practical cooperation between Jiangsu and Israel. As a major channel to promote trade and investment in Jiangsu, the Sub-Council will play its due role to connect resources from home and abroad, exploring more fields and expanding more space for such cooperation. It will also make endeavors to facilitate the cooperation of Israeli technologies in the province and apply them to suitable scenarios, so as to upgrade the cooperation between Jiangsu and Israel to a new level.
The forum also witnessed two signing ceremonies. The Jiangsu Chamber of International Commerce and the IsCham signed an MOU to enhance exchange and communication on innovation resources. The CICP signed cooperation agreements with three Israeli offshore incubation projects. The three corresponding enterprises will set up their offices in Israel-Jiangsu Innovation Center, as a preparatory phase before being finally established in the CICP.
