On September 27th, our council held the “Jiangsu (Lianyungang) Life Health Industry Matchmaking Meeting” to promote the open and innovative development of the complete biomedical industry chain of the Lianyungang Free Trade Zone.

The biomedical industry of Jiangsu Pilot Free Trade Zone is at the forefront of China. The meeting introduced the medical industry and its planning of the Lianyungang economic development zone. The representatives of Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom, which are the leading countries in the biomedical industry, introduced their development and opportunities for international cooperation. PwC shared the trend of M&A and IPO focuses in China's life and health industry. Representatives of eight key pharmaceutical enterprises, including Hengrui Pharmaceutical, Kanion Pharmaceutical, Hansoh Pharmaceutical, Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical, and Suyun Medical Materials, participated in the exchange and match-making meeting. The two parties have reached preliminary cooperation intentions in the introduction of hyaluronic acid, medical equipment agency and participation in overseas exhibitions.

After the meeting, the representatives of foreign institutions made a field trip to the China Pharmaceutical Harbor Exhibition Center, Hechen Pharmaceutical and Yuanchuang Pharma.

Our council will continue to focus on the construction of the CCPIT Service Center for China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone and enhance the collaboration with Lianyungang sub-zone. We will focus on key areas, give full play to the advantages of resource factors, promote reform and exploration in investment, trade in services and IPR, and improve the influence of the innovation achievements, advantageous industries and business environment of the Free Trade Zone.
