Indian Consul General Visits Our Council
A delegation led by Ms. Riva Ganguly Das, Indian Consul General of Consulate General of India, Shanghai visits our council and is received by our executive vice chairman Ma Haining and vice chairwoman Qiu Xiaoping on July 8.
Mr. Ma briefs on the trade and economic cooperation between India and our province, latest updates of our provincial open economy, and the main functions of our council, focuses Jiangsu keeps developing and extends the domestic market’s demands in the context of current economic trend, takes a series of measures to tackle the economic recession as well as embraces a new round of developing opportunities brought by Jiangsu coastland developing strategies for Ms. Riva Ganguly Das. He also recommends the China Jiangsu Enterprises Outbound Investment Conference partly organized by our council which is to create and operate a good communication and cooperation platform to encourage and support enterprises to “go out” to invest outside.
Jiangsu is one of developed provinces in China, playing an important role in the trade and economy areas of China, and India attaches great importance on the communication and cooperation between Jiangsu and India, Ms. Riva Ganguly Das states. She introduces some successful cooperation cases of Indian and Jiangsu enterprises and expects to boost the bilateral trade and investment with each other in her term. She hopes to jointly organize trade and economic cooperation seminar in Nanjing with our council on this October, inviting the celebrities in the economic and trade field of India and China to come to introduce how to develop trade cooperation with India and how to invest in India and strengthening mutual communication and understanding with each other to further push the cooperation.
Ms. Qiu and Ms. Riva Ganguly Das exchange their opinions on the details of holding trade and economic cooperation seminar and she states we will use our resources to assist the Consulate General of India, Shanghai to prepare this business activity. Ms. Qiu says India and Jiangsu have a long-term friendly cooperative relationship, our council will continue to keep close touch with Consulate General of India, Shanghai and Confederation of Indian Industry, as well as jointly promote the trade and economic communication and cooperation with each other.
