Established in September 1963,China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Jiangsu Sub-Council (CCPIT Jiangsu) is the important and largest institution for promotion of international economy and trade, which is composed of VIPS, enterprises and organizations representing the economic and trade sector, in Jiangsu Province. By various means including legal service, overseas liaisons, economic and trade exhibition and membership service, CCPIT Jiangsu is playing an important role as a bridge and link for foreign trade, foreign investment, foreign economic and technical exchange and cooperation, etc, in Jiangsu Province.
In June 1988, it started to adopt another name—‘Chamber of International Commerce, Jiangsu Province’. (CCOIC Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce).
LEGAL AFFAIRS INTRODUCTION
CCPIT Jiangsu offer legal (certification and legalization) operations, mainly intended to provide legal service relating to international economy and trade for foreign trading companies, manufacturers and foreign-invested enterprises throughout the Province, and, in alignment with the economy further open, such service is constantly expanding as to mainly include the following:

Conciliation of Disputes Arising from International Economy and Trade
Accept, hear and conciliate disputes arising from international and domestic economy, trade, finance, investment, technical transfer, work contract, transportation, insurance, and other international and domestic commerce; and accept, hear and reconcile the complaints from the foreign-invested enterprises.
International Commercial Arbitration
Accept and process the arbitration application from the parties; provide arbitration-related legal consultancies, and communicate the latest arbitration information; assist the party in concluding arbitration clause and arbitration agreement; and arrange oral hearings in local for the arbitration tribunal.
Legal Counseling and Representative
Provide legal consultancies for the client; issue written legal opines; act as general counseling for enterprise; draft contract, agreement, constitution and other legal documents; represent the client to participate the arbitrations and litigations; handle legal affairs regarding the international trade and economic items; handle trade-related intellectual property operations; handle non-litigant affairs.
Act as agent to apply for patent and trade mark.
Legal training about trade and business
Provide legal training about international trade and business; Conduct various of meeting about international trade and business; disseminate and popularize of the Arbitration and Conciliation throughout Jiangsu Province; organize the legal and business delegacy to go abroad for interchange and inspect.
Certification and legalization
According to ‘Rules of Origin for Importing and Exporting Goods, People’s Republic of China’, all legalized enterprises in China including state-owned, foreign capital invested, the enterprises that process raw materials on clients' demands, assemble parts for the clients and process according to the clients' samples; or engage in compensation trade, and registered ones, can apply Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Processing and Certificate of Re-export from CCPIT Jiangsu Sub Council and all its local branches.
·Before applying for Certificate of Origin for Exporting Goods, enterprises must get registered at CCPIT. And the web-system for applying CO (Certificate of Origin) through EDI must be used in the process. (Address: http://www.co.ccpit.org). The exporting goods applying for CO must be wholly obtained or processed substantially in the mainland of P. R. China.
·The exporting goods wholly or partly processed with imported materials or components, which doesn’t measure up to the determinant standards of origin regulations, should apply Certificate of Processing with the evidence of Importing Accessory Products List and related materials.
·The Transit goods through PRC frontier should apply for Certificate of Re-export, with the documents of origin, customs declaration for importing and exporting goods, and other related documents.
Certification for International Business Affairs
CCPIT prepare Certification, which is widely used in international business affairs, according to applications from corporations, other economic organizations and natural persons, inline with Chinese law, related regulations and international trading traditions. For example, in multinational business affairs like merchandise, customs, exchanging settlement, utilizing of foreign capital, introduction of technology and equipment; setting up organizations abroad, international projects of tender and contract, cooperation on technology and labor force and also registration of brand and patent, lawsuit and arbitration of international business affairs.
·The applicant must submit original documents needed to be certificated, which is authentic and virtuous.
·A virtuous business license or code license for Chinese organizations or other ID documents is required.

Some business documents and papers need to be certified by foreign embassy or consul in China, after certified by Chinese Foreign Affairs Department (its provincial offices) according to the requirements of international economic and trading cooperation.

1.Application for overseas TM registration may institution, enterprise, private enterprise, or natural person.;

Scope of Conciliation

Procedure of Conciliation
The Conciliation Center handles cases of dispute according to the conciliation agreement (conciliation terms) reached between the parties to the dispute or the application submitted by a party to the dispute. A list of conciliators is available and a party to a dispute can name any of them to deal with the case he is involved in. The conciliators have been selected by the Conciliation Center from among Chinese and foreign personages possessing professional knowledge or rich practical experience and enjoying prestige in the commercial, maritime and legal fields
During the conciliation proceedings, the conciliator will respect the autonomy of the parties, and on the basis of ascertaining the facts, making a clear distinction between fight and wrong and ascertaining where the liability lies, conduct the conciliation in accordance with the law and the contractual agreement and in light of the international practice and the principle of impartiality and reasonableness, urging the parties involved to reconcile with each other in the spirit of mutual understanding and accommodation, striving for a win-win result so as to safeguard the perpetual cooperation between the two parties and their long-term interest.
Jiangsu Conciliation Center of China Council For The Promotion of International Trade model mediation clause
Any dispute arising from or in connection with this Contract shall be submitted to Jiangsu Conciliation Center of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade for mediation. Which shall be conducted in accordance with the Center’s Mediation Rules in effect at time of applying for mediation. In case an amicable settlement agreement has been reached or a Mediation Statement be made by the mediator(s) on the basis of that amicable settlement agreement, the parties shall abide by all the terms stated therein.

International Business Arbitration
China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission
The China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), founded in April 1956, is one of the most important permanent arbitration institutions in the world. Since 2000, the CIETAC is also known as the Arbitration Court of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC).
